Short version: we collect what we need to send you the emails you asked for and, when you order, to get jewelry to your door. We track whether our emails get opened. We don’t sell your data, and there are no advertising trackers on this site. Everything else on this page is detail.
What we collect, and when
When you join the list. Your email address, and — only if you choose to share them — your first name, birthday, and anniversary. Every field except email is optional.
When you read our emails. Our email platform records whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. It tells us what’s worth writing more of and what isn’t.
When you browse the site. If you arrived from one of our emails or signed up here, a small cookie connects your visit to your subscription — it lets us do things like remind you about a cart you left behind. The site also uses the ordinary cookies an online store needs to function: keeping a cart together, keeping you logged in. We see visitor statistics in aggregate — pages viewed, countries, referrers — never tied to you personally.
If you place an order. Your name, shipping address, email, and order history. Your card details go directly to our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
If you leave a review or comment. The name, email, and words you submit, stored with the review or comment.
When you email us. Whatever you send to orders@modadiamonds.com stays in that inbox, so we have the history when you write again.
What we do with it
Fulfill orders, answer your emails, and send the email you signed up for — the welcome series, occasional letters, and, if you shared the dates, a note on your birthday or anniversary. That’s the list. We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone, and there are no third-party advertising trackers on this site. If that changes as the store grows, this page changes first.
Who touches your data
The service providers who make the store run: WordPress.com hosts the site, MailPoet delivers our email, our payment processor handles card details at checkout, and shipping carriers get your name and address so the box arrives. Each sees only what its job requires.
Your controls
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link and a manage-preferences link in the footer — that link is keyed to you, and it’s the fastest way to change your name, dates, or subscriptions.
To see what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email orders@modadiamonds.com from the address in question. You’ll have a written answer within 1–3 business days. Deletion removes you from every list; order records the law requires us to keep are kept only as long as the law requires.
Cookies, the honest list
The email cookie described above, which ties your visit to your subscription. Store cookies for cart contents, checkout, and login if you hold an account. No advertising cookies, no social-media pixels, no data brokers. If we ever add measurement tools that change this list — say, when we begin advertising — this page will say so before they do anything.
Children
This store isn’t intended for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly keep data about anyone under 16. If that happened, email us and it’s gone.
Where this policy is headed
Moda is new and this store is growing. As we add features — payments, reviews, new email flows — this page is updated to match, with the date at the top telling you when. Two things won’t change: we don’t sell your data, and we tell you what we’re doing in plain English.
